Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Maxine Hood Rockey, age 89 of Dickson were conducted Sunday November 25, 2012 at 12 Noon from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Guy Ogburn, Bro. Jim Dudley, and Bro. Max Lankford officiating. Place of rest is in the Memorial Mausoleum of Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Maxine, a restaurant owner-operator, died early Wednesday November 21, 2012 at her home in Dickson. A native of Dickson County she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Louella Tucker Hood. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Rockey; two sons, Rudy Dudley and Randy Dudley; two grandsons, Craig Etheridge and Jacky Ray Adams Jr. Maxine was owner and operator of the 46 Diner. She was also a cook for many years at East Hills Restaurant and at Rudy’s #1 and Rudy’s #2.
Survivors include her three daughters, Maudie Myatt Dotson of Dickson, TN; Carolyn Legg and her husband Jerry of Dickson, TN; Reba Dudley of Dickson, TN; seven grandchildren, Brenda Puckett and husband Jackie; Curtis Etheridge; Robert Guthrie; Melissa Moran White and husband Paul; Christopher Moize and wife Sharlene; Michael Moize and wife Michele; Stephanie Sanker; fourteen great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
