Funeral services for Alan Scott Faircloth, age 28 of Vanleer, TN were conducted Saturday May 18, 2013 at 12 Noon from the First Baptist Church of Dickson , TN with Dr. Ted Denny officiating. His final resting place is in the Parrott Cemetery in Slayden, TN.
Alan, Former firefighter with the Dickson Fire Department and currently Assistant Fire Chief with the Vanleer Fire Department, died May 14, 2013 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was born in Maryville, Tn and was the son Larry Faircloth and Debbie Sykes Smith. He was currently a student at Columbia State working on his nursing degree and working at Baptist Hospital as a tech and also served his community as an EMT. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents; Melvin and Imogene Sykes, Sarah Evelyn Faircloth and his Aunt, Patricia Gail Manners.
Survivors include His Wife, Alyssa Ruffino Faircloth of Vanleer; Mother and Step-Father, Debbie Sykes Smith and James C. Smith of Slayden; Father, Larry Faircloth of Greenback, TN; Brother, Eddie Faircloth of Knoxville; Sisters, Rachel Smith of Slayden and Cheryl Faircloth Thornton of Knoxville; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Joe and Kay Ruffino of Vanleer; Brothers-in-law, Dominic Ruffino of Vanleer, and Philip Ruffino of Michigan; Grandparents-in-law, Shirley and Tom Dixon of Dickson.
