Funeral services for Mr. Lee Demps Moore, known as “L. D.”, age 86 of Dickson will be conducted Monday August 5, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Purcell officiating. Place or rest is in the Dugan Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 until 8 P.M. and on Monday from 10 A.M. until service time at Taylor Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of the Taylor Funeral Home.
L. D., a longtime plumber, died Thursday August 1, 2013 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. A native of Dickson County, he was the son of the late Lee Dempster Hocket Moore and Hattie Lee Anderson Moore. He applied his trade as a plumber for several years with Radnor Plumbing in Nashville and then later retired from Porter Brothers here in Dickson working over 50 years in plumbing. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his three sons, Joe Moore and Sandra of Dickson, TN; Sammy Lee Moore and wife Patty of Dickson, TN; Bobby Neil Moore of Dickson, TN; three daughters, Brenda Hicks and husband Donald of McEwen, TN; Lois Hooper and husband Jr. of Dickson, TN; Lisa Heggie and husband Tommy of Dickson, TN; twelve grandchildren, Andrea Hayes; Alicia Moore; Megan Moore; Sam Moore; Joey Heath; Jamie Malone; Phillip Hicks; Jacob Hicks; Andrew Hooper; Chris Bott; twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
