Funeral services for Mr. Wendell Lee (Dick) Harris, age 90 of Dickson, Tn will be conducted Saturday afternoon, August 10, 2013 at 2 PM from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Chaplain Dahl Johnson officiating. Place of rest will be in the Dickson Union Cemetery. Those desiring Memorials may be made to the Alive Hospice, Personal gifts to the family or to the charity of your choice. Visitation with the family will be Friday August 9, 2013 from 3 PM until 8 PM and Saturday beginning at 12 Noon until time of service. Services under the direction of the Taylor Funeral Home.
Mr. Harris , a retired Machinist, died peacefully August 5, 2013 at his home. Born in Davidson County moving to Dickson County as a youngster, he was the son of the late Mangrum Eugene and Callie Palmer Horn Harris. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He proudly served his country during World War II in the U. S. Navy on the USS Princeton. He was a 32 degree mason and member of the Dickson Masonic Lodge # 468. He was preceded in death by his wife; Gwendolyn Faye Walp Harris in 2003 and also preceded in death by a daughter, Viki Lea Harris Allbert and four brothers.
Survivors include his Two Daughters; Angela Harris Kimak and her husband, Michael of Wetumpka AL, and Brenda (Wendy) Harris Ragan of Dickson, Tn His Three grandchildren; Derick Corlew and wife, Tasha, Candance (Candy) Corlew Carrera and husband, Mario and Jason Lee Allbert and wife, Tabitha. His Brother; William Doyle (Buck) Harris of Dickson. Several nieces and nephews.
