Mrs. Eva Frances Murphy, age 94 of Cumberland Furnace, died Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the home of her daughter. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from noon until the time of service. Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Frances Murphy will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Ken Andrews officiating. Interment will follow in the Rye’s Chapel Cemetery.
A Montgomery County native, Mrs. Murphy was the daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Rye Christy Fain. She was a homemaker and a member of Gray’s Chapel Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her daughter, Polly Ann Murphy, Dickson; daughters-in-law, Leta Stinson, White Bluff, and Brenda Boyd, Cumberland Furnace; brothers, Bud Fain, Southside, TN and Lewis Fain, Palmyra, TN; sister, Dorothy Dowdy, Bloomington, IN; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Oscar Murphy; two sons, Charles Rodney Murphy and Robert Tony Murphy; three grandchildren, Bubba Todd Pulley, Bobby Murphy, and Tonya Murphy; and by one brother, T. B. Fain.
