Mr. Donald Gray Redden age 73 of Dickson, TN died Sept. 11, 2013. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 4 PM until 6 PM and on Friday beginning at 12 Noon until time of service. Funeral services for Mr. Donald G. Redden will be conducted Friday afternoon, September 13, 2013 at 2 PM from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Place of rest will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. For those desiring Memorials may be made to the Dickson County Unit of the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Mr. Redden was born in Dickson County on May 8, 1940 and died at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas in Nashville, TN. He was a Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. He proudly served his country and was an Honorably Discharged Veteran who served in the United States Navy. He attended TN Voc. Tech . School of Drafting, University of TN Engineering, MS College and taught at Hinds Community College in Jackson, MS. He retired in 2002 as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager for Parker Hannifin Corporation in Madison , MS with approximately 30 years of service. He was the son of the late Clyde and Lucille Sullivan Redden of Dickson, TN.
Survived by his wife of 44 years, Lucy Buchanan Redden ; 2 Sons , Stephen and wife, Kate of Denver, CO , and Jason and wife, Shannon of Houston, MS ; 4 Grandchildren , McCoy, Ethan, Andrew and Maddox ; Brother , William Thomas (Butch) Redden and wife, Joy of Dickson, TN ; Sisters , Norma Evans of Dickson, TN and Elaine Bozell and husband, Denny of Indiana ; Several Nieces and Nephews.
