Josephine Lorene Carr, age 77 of Dickson, died August 11, 2014. A funeral service was held Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 2pm at the Taylor Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Hilltop Cemetery.
She was born February 17, 1937 in Dickson County. She was a daughter of the late David Elkins and Alma Alexander Elkins. She had worked as a CNA at a nursing home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Majel Lee Carr; Son, Larry Christy; Daughter, Beverly Conner; Sister, Nellie Tidwell.
Survived by her Daughters, Anita (James) Pewitt of Dickson, Evelyn Webster of Lyles, Teresa McFarlin of Nunnelly, Becky Conner of Erin; Sons, Willie Christy of Dickson, Frankie Christy of Dickson, Randy Christy of Arkansas; Sister, Lou Gafford of White Bluff; Brother, Pastor Bill Elkins of Kansas; several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; Son-in-law, Andrew Conner.
