Funeral services will be Thursday September 17, 2015 at 2 PM from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Lee officiating. Place of rest will be in the Union Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday September 16 th from 4 to 8 PM and on Thursday from 1 PM until time of service.
Henry Clay Garrett, age 86 of Dickson died Monday September 14, 2015. Born in Paducah, KY he was the son of the late Harry Edward and Clara Vaughn McClurkan Garrett and was preceded in death by his son, Donald Clay “Boo” Garrett and his siblings, Lois Garrett, Idalia Harris, Lorene Taylor, J.C. Garrett, Paul Garrett. Henry retired from the City of Dickson as the Superintendent of the Street Department. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Onita Donaldson Garrett of Dickson; son, Greg Garrett and his wife Shelley of Chattanooga; grandsons, Bradford and Graham Garrett; brother, Everett Garrett of Dickson.
