Malcolm Wayne Watts, age 82 of Dickson died Monday, January 11, 2016 at his home. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 5 until 7:30 p.m., with the funeral service to begin at 7:30 p.m. from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Interment, with U. S. Navy military honors will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 16th at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, TN 37221. The funeral procession will leave from the funeral home at 9:15 a.m.
Born in Cheatham County, Mr. Watts was the last surviving child of nine children born to the late Sydney and Josie McNichols Watts. He gave service to his country in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1956 with another four years in the U.S. Navy Reserves. He was married to the former Billie Gray and was the father of four daughters. In civilian life, Mr. Watts held several jobs, his favorite being in management of stock in grocery stores. He was a member of Deeper Life Assembly Church.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Gray Watts, Dickson; his four daughters, Teresa Dunnagan (Bracey), Murfreesboro, TN, Pamela Watts Hutton (Roger), Dickson, Phyllis Lowe (Donald), Franklin, TN, and Regina Hunt, Dickson; twelve grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
