Lorene Gafford Barnill, age 105 of Nashville, TN died on Monday, February 29, 2016 at The Bridge Nursing Home at Monteagle, TN. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Lorene was born May 15, 1910 in Cumberland Furnace and was a resident of Nashville for 68 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Hugh and Maude Austin Gafford; sisters, Dolly Forshee, Edna Hayes, Dara Brake, and Nell Miller; brothers, Hubert, Glenn and Clifton Gafford; daughters, June Petrov, Joyce Thomas, Donna Johnson; son, John Barnhill.
Lorene is survived by her daughter, Wilma Satterfield and husband, Richard of North Carolina; son Clifford Hugh Barnhill of Sewanee, TN; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
