Funeral services will be Saturday August 20, 2016 at 11 AM from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Neal Hughes officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Prayer Mausoleum at Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Friday August 19th from 5 to 8 PM and on Saturday from 9 AM until time of service.
Mrs. Ruth Sharon Whiting, age 73 of Charlotte, died Sunday August 14, 2016. Born in Springfield, MO she was the daughter of the late Guy Michael and Veronica Ann “Vera” Bauer Rogers and was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Trudy Whiting, and her sister Rita Kittrell. Sharon had worked as a Secretary and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Whiting of Charlotte; sons, Tim Whiting (Anna) of Macungie, PA, Tom Whiting of Charlotte; brother, Michael Rogers (Annie) of Popularville, MS; sister, Peggy Lawson of Hickory, NC; grandchildren, Noel Ragsdale (Wally), Lauren Whiting, Mike Alexopoulos; great grandchildren, Rowan and Landon Ragsdale.
