Funeral services will be Saturday November 12, 2016 at 1 PM at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Bro. Rob Truitt and Bro. Dean Guye officiating. Place of rest will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Sharon, TN on Sunday. Visitation with the family will be Saturday November 12th from 10 AM until time of service at the Church.
Mr. William Eugene “Gene” Harkey, age 83 of Burns, TN died Thursday November 10, 2016. Born in Sharon, TN he was the son of the late Burney Eugene and Carolyn Harrison Harkey. He was a retired Postal Clerk and an avid Banjo player. Gene was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lane Harkey of Burns; daughter, Ann Harkey Miller of Bellevue; grandson, Andrew Ross Miller.
