Mrs. Bertie Haddix age 85 of Dickson died on November 25, 2016.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016 from 4pm until 8pm and on Wed. from 12noon until time of service. A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 3pm with Bro. Donnie Craig officiating. Place of rest will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. For those desiring, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Bertie was born December 25, 1930 in Dickson, TN. She was a daughter of the late William Jame Spann and Lula Bell Allen Spann. Before retirement, she had worked as a cook at the New Life Lodge Rehabilitation Center and had attended services at the Walnut St. Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Haddix; sons, William Larry Spann and Randy Haddix; and twelve siblings: brothers, James, Clifford, Hubert, Glenn, Roy Robert, Theodore, and Edward Spann; sisters, Margaret Gill, Myrtle Allen, Liston Gill, and Lucy Shelton.
She is survived by her son, Tommy Haddix and his wife, Ruby; daughters, Sharon Chaussee and her husband, Dan, Betty Baggett, and Kathy Hogin and her husband, Jackie; grandchildren, Rickey Donegan, Shannon Donegan, Carey Haddix, Ashlee Jennings, Joyce Jennings, and Jimmy Jennings; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
