Daisy Elizabeth Hasley Schmittou, age 93 Vanleer died on December 10, 2016. Visitation will be held on Monday, December, 12, 2016 from 2pm until 8pm. A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 3pm at the Taylor Funeral Home. Place of rest will be in the Vanleer Cemetery.
Daisy was born February 16, 1923 in Vanleer, TN. She was a daughter of the late Thee and Bessie Lee Waynick Hasley. For many years, she lived in Michigan where she worked in retail sales with the Sears Company. She had attended services at the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Franklin Schmittou; her parents, Thee and Bessie Lee Waynick Hasley; her sons, Jerry ‘Neal Schmittou (Sue) and Ernest Glen Schmittou; grandchildren, Jerry, Louis and Debbie; her siblings, Obel Hasley, Marie Nelson, Gene Hasley, James Hasley, Betty Schmittou, Donnie Hasley.
She is survived by her son Ruben Earl Schmittou Sr. and his wife, Ann of Vanleer; grandchildren, Ruben Schmittou Jr. of Vanleer, and Sherry Rickert and her husband, Bob of Michigan; great grandson, Michael Gouze; beloved friend, Faye Hall; several nieces and nephews.
