A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday April 1, 2017 from 10 AM to 12 PM at Taylor Funeral Home with a time of sharing to Celebrate Billy’s life from 12 to 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to the Dickson County Humane Society.
Billy Joe Sawyer age 64 passed away March 27, 2017. Billy, a native of Dickson, was a talented musician, artist, historian, and avid animal lover. He lived in Donelson, TN. Billy is survived by his mother Marion Sawyer Holland of Dickson, sisters Mary Sawyer (Art) Cox of Winchester, VA, Darlein Sawyer Sullivan of Dickson, Marsha Sawyer (Al) Griffin of Charlotte, TN and fifteen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Grady B. Sawyer and a brother Marshall Edward Sawyer.
