Randy Lee Buchanan – Age 62 of Dickson passed peacefully at his mother’s home on April 1, 2017. He was born May 17, 1954.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 4-8pm at the Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Wes Sesler at 12noon on Monday, April 3, 2017 from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Burial will follow beside of Randy’s son, Caleb in Dickson’s Union Cemetery.

Randy was a Dickson County High School graduate of 1972 and graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a bachelors degree in chemistry. He was an environmentalist at Teksid and later traveled with an environmentalist company. Randy was a very proud father and great son and brother. In his younger years, he enjoyed horses and cattle. Randy was extremely intelligent, free spirted and loved sports, especially University of Tennessee Football.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Loyd and Christine Pruett and his son, Caleb Pruett Buchanan.
Randy is survived by his mother, Jeanette Buchanan; sister, Debbie Hamilton; brother, Keith (Candia) Buchanan; nephew, Lee Tidwell; nieces, Kimberly Tidwell and Lacey (Mike) Erranton; father, Robert Buchanan and previous step-son, David Wright.
