John Wesley Myatt, Jr. – Age 79 of Dickson passed away on May 28, 2017 at National Healthcare Dickson.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 1-5 pm and on Thursday, June 1, 2017 beginning at 10 am with services at 2 pm from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Bro. Donnie Craig will serve as officiant. Interment will take place in the Kimbro Cemetery.
He was born on September 24, 1937 to the late John Wesley and Isma Hamrick Myatt, Sr. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Hill Myatt and son, John “Jay Myatt, III.
Mr. Myatt is survived by his wife, Helen Lyle Harmon Myatt; step-son, Randy, Harmon (Anna) of Bellevue, TN; step-daughter Charlotte Mitchell (Doug) of Wavelry, TN and numerous cousins.
John Myatt served his country in the United States Army. He spent his career as a water plant operator for the City of Dickson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of choice.
