Mary K. Rampaul Fox, age 83, of Dickson died Friday, August 11, 2017 at Horizon Medical Center. In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no public visitation or service. Mary’s family will gather privately to say goodbye and to reflect on her life. Her ashes will be interred, also privately on the family plot at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Dickson County Help Center.
Born in Dickson County, Mary was the daughter of the late Leonard S. and Leona Story Davis. She served during peace time for 2 ½ years in the United States Air Force. She retired from clerical work. Strong-willed and independent, Mary was a private person; however, she received great satisfaction in helping other people. But she wanted no recognition or “accolades” for her acts of kindness. She never wanted to impose on anyone, nor be a burden to her family. Thus, she dictated her own funeral arrangements! She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Davis and by her sister, Audrey Potter.
Survivors include her son, Tim Rampaul (Tracy), Burns; four grandchildren, Quintin Rampaul, Cody Rampaul, Chase Rampaul, and Katie Rampaul; brothers, Joe Davis (Letha), and Norman Davis, all of Dickson; sister-in-law, Peggy Davis, Nashville; several nieces and nephews.
