William Boyd Beard Sr., age 81 of Cumberland Furnace, died peacefully in his home on September 10, 2017.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 13, at 11 am in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, September 12, from 4 until 8 pm and on Wednesday from 10 am until time of the service.
William was born December 2, 1935 to the late Edward and Eula Beard in Williamson County.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, James Beard, Mala Beard, Mary Peach, and Euzala Overby.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Beard; children, William Boyd “Bill” Beard, Jr. and his wife Jan, and Lisa Beard-Harris and her husband, Kendall; brother, Doyl Beard and his wife Ann; sister, Prudie Marlin; grandchildren, Chelsea Tucker and Will Beard; and adopted grand-daughter, Shelby Martin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Fund.
