Funeral services will be Saturday September 23, 2017 at 1 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Bear officiating. Place of rest will be in Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Friday September 22nd from 4 to 8 PM.
Carolyn Faye Cathey, age 63 of Sparta, TN died Wednesday September 20, 2017. Born in Dickson, TN she was the daughter of the late Elbert “Cap” Thurston and Gladys Elease Fisher Cathey and was preceded in death by her brother, Larry “Coon” Cathey. Carolyn worked in Medical Records and was a member of the Murfreesboro Church of God of Prophecy.
Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Cathey Dickerson (Mark) of Sparta, TN; brothers, Roger (Chubby) Cathey (JoAnn) of Dickson, TN, William “Bubba” Cathey (Brenda) of Dickson, TN; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
