Mrs. Bertha “Marie” Hensley of Dickson, Tennessee passed away on November 23, 2017. Visitation will begin Sunday November 26th, 2017 at Taylor Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home on Monday November 27th, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Clark Brown officiating. Interment will be in the Sherwood Cemetery.
Marie was born July 31, 1926 in Dickson County. She was a daughter of the late Charlie Homer Fleet and Vina Lorainne Waynick Fleet. Her husand was her fishing partner and they both enjoyed it dearly. Mrs. Hensley enjoyed cooking for her family and enjoyed spending time with them over meals. Mexican Cornbread and Turkey and Dressing were some of her signature dishes. Mrs. Hensley also had a “Green Thumb”, and loved tending to her flower garden. She was a member of the Sylvia Baptist Church and had attended services there for nearly 30 years.
Mrs. Hensley is survived by her Husband of over 67 years Mr. Charles Hensley; Daughters, Kathy Alberd (Eddie) Dickson, TN & Vickie Parker (Ronald) of Dickson, TN; and Brother, Archie Fleet (Judy) of Dickson.
