A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the Taylor Funeral Home. Place of rest will be in the Lyles Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
James Wilford Plunkett, age 94 of Lyles, TN died on September 29, 2018.
Mr. Plunkett was born on September 28, 1924 in Vernon, TN. He was a son of the late James and Tennie Harrington Plunkett. James loved his family. He was a retired construction worker and had worked hard his entire life. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lydie Mae Plunkett; son, Robert Plunkett; daughters, Mary Francis Plunkett, and Betty Jo Gordon; brother, Elgie Plunkett; half-brother, Dennis Rogers; sister, Madie Tidwell.
He is survived by his sons, Charles Plunkett of Lyles, and Roy Plunkett (Evelyn) of Centerville; his daughters, Barbara Tidwell (Larry) of Lyles, Audrey Pendergrass (Terry) of Chapmansboro, Peggy Terlecki (Larry) of Lyles, and Dorothy Osborne (Keith) of Bon Aqua; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren.
