A funeral service is planned for Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens Chapel of Prayer Mausoleum. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, October 1 st , from 4:00 until 8:00 in the evening and on Wednesday from 10:00 until time the time of service.

George Youra “Sonny” Brown, age 81 of White Bluff, TN passed away peacefully in his home on September 29, 2019, just one day shy of his 82 nd birthday. He was born in White Bluff on September 30, 1937 to the late George and Thelma Donnelly Brown. Sonny was married to his wife, Mary Lou Larkins Brown, of 53 years before her passing in March of 2012. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a devoted “Pap” that cherished every moment spent with his two grandchildren, Logan and Laken Brown. Sonny’s favorite hobbies included racing and fishing.
Survivors include his sons Gregg Brown of Burns and Brent Brown (Tracie) of White Bluff; his sister Carlene Neighbours (Lester) of Dickson; his grandchildren Logan and Laken Brown; his dear friend Gina Hudson; and his brother in law Gale Larkins (Bessie) of White Bluff.
