Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon, December 9, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. from the Hickory Chapel Funeral Home, 5852 Nolensville Road, Nashville, TN. Rev. Arthur Sharpe will officiate. Visitation will be on Monday at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Place of rest will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Hicks, age 87, of Nashville, TN died Friday, December 6, 2019, at Summit Medical Center.
Mrs. Hicks was born in Humphreys County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Pleas Jackson and Ruby Anna Kraus Kimmons. She was a graduate of McEwen High School. Throughout her life, she served the Lord, loved her family, was a preacher’s wife, loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was the widow of the late Rev. James S. “Sam” Hicks, Sr. Mrs. Hicks was a member of the Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy Hicks and his wife, Susan of Hermitage, TN; her daughter, Michelle Sharpe and her husband, Arthur of Sumter, SC; her brother, Gary Kimmons and his wife, Donna of Dickson, TN; her grandchildren, Lisa Fortson and her husband, Brandon, Trey Sharpe, Wes Sharpe and Josh Sharpe; her great-grandson, Coleman Fortson and several nieces and nephews.
