Barbara Jean Crittendon, age 80 of Dickson, died Monday, March 23, 2020 at Horizon Medical Center. She will be cremated and the family will be planning a memorial service in West Tennessee in connection with, or near her birthday.
Born June 11, 1939 in Dresden, Tennessee, Barbara was the daughter of the late Wilbert O. and Pearl Hopkins McWherter. She loved her children and her family and she loved her cats, especially “Scooter”. Barbara also enjoyed her puzzles and would be found doing Sudokus or word searches daily. She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore Alvin Crittendon in 2019.
Survivors include her four daughters, Debbie Robbins (Jimmy), Charlotte, TN, Cindy Blackwell (Lucky), Lyles, TN, and Pam Smith and Stacy Spann (Gary), all of Dickson; two brothers, Aaron McWherter and Reuben McWherter, and sister, Mary Jo Matheny, all of Paris, TN; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
