Pernel Lacy Gray, Jr., also known as “June Bug,” age 89 of Burns, TN died on March 28, 2020.
Visitation is private, a family graveside service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Gray was born July 4, 1930 in Dickson, TN. He was a son of the late Pernel L. Gray Sr. and Alma Brown Gray. He was a Veteran having served during the Korean War. June Bug was a farmer and had retired from the construction industry in which he worked as a heavy equipment operator.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jean Gray; 2 brothers, Ben and Kenneth Gray; 2 sisters, Clara Clifton and Kathryn Buttrey.
He is survived by his daughter, Kay Gray of Dickson, TN; his son, Wayne Gray (Pennie) of Burns, TN; 2 brothers, Earl Gray (Virginia) of Dickson, TN and Bobby Gray (Patty) of Burns, TN; his sister, Alene Broshears of Burns, TN; 4 grandchildren, Kelly Murphy, Jeremy Logan, Amber Patterson, Alicia Pierpoint; 7 great grandchildren, Chase, Lacy, Logan, MacKenzie, Alexis, Ryleigh, and Axel; special friend, “Miss Delores.”
