Funeral services for Michael Bruce Guthrie, age 43 of Indian Mound, Tennessee will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Cemetery near Sylvia. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Mr. Guthrie died Tuesday, October 5, 2021.
Born in Nashville, Michael was the son of Edith Anderson (Gauthier) and the late Michael Guthrie. He worked in the construction industry as a roofer.
Survivors include his mother, Edith Gauthier, of Erin; his fiancée, Melissa Jackson, Nashville; his sons, Michael David Guthrie and Isaiah Guthrie, both of Nashville; the mother of his children, Regina Tittle, of Indian Mound; brothers, Charlie Owen, of Antioch, and Melford Owen, of Clarksville; sisters, Lisa Owen of Erin, Roberta Owen, of Clarksville, Charlotte Guthrie, Erin Guthrie, and Trudy Guthrie, all of Dickson; grandson, Michael David Guthrie, Jr.; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a brother, Ronnie Owen.
