Mrs. Sesler died Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Centennial Medical Center.

Born in the Petway Community of Cheatham County, Esther was one of the ten children of the late Charlie and Beulah Reed. She was married to Leroy T. “Cotton” Sesler, who preceded her in death. A homemaker, Esther had previously worked in sales at Dillard’s, as well as a few other places in her early life. Her family was very important to her; especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved spending time with her sisters and the time they enjoyed together shopping, visiting, and traveling. Gardening was another of her hobbies and she was “famous” for her pecan pies and her strawberry cake ( always a hot item at the Cancer Auctions!). Esther was an avid reader and was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Sesler; her brothers, Marshall, Mac, and James Reed; her sisters, Beatrice Rolling, Estelle McEwen, Dean Holt, and Catherine Puryear.

Survivors include her sons, Dickie Sesler, Nashville, and Mark Sesler (Beth), Murfreesboro, TN; her daughter Kathey Sesler Fuqua, Dickson; her twin sister, Hester Mans, Tulsa, OK, her sister, Maidel Gibson, Nashville; her five grandchildren, twins Amey and Jamey Sullivan, Chip Sullivan (Rachel), Andy Fuqua (Stephanie), and Thomas Henry Sesler; her great-grandchildren, Hatcher, Avett, and Ryman Fuqua; several nieces and nephews.
