A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Crystal Petty officiating. Burial will follow in the Edgewood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will take place on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Ronald O’Neal Bellar, age 64, of Dickson, passed from this life on November 15, 2022, in his home, surrounded by family. He was born on March 1, 1958 in Dickson, to the late Vincent Neal and Roberta Johnson Bellar. Ronnie worked for many years for the Dickson County Highway Department. He also attended the Edgewood United Methodist Church.
Ronnie loved to hunt for ginseng, mushrooms, and arrowheads, as well as frequent trips down to Yellow Creek. He also was a huge history fanatic.
Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Porter, Kelvin Street, Josh Bellar, Dennis “Tank” Johnson, David Johnson, and Dalton Johnson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Debbie Bellar and Vicky Lynch.
Survivors include his daughter: Jessica Mangrum (Michael) of Charlotte; his brothers: Don Bellar (Elizabeth) and Scott Bellar (Julie), both of Dickson; his grandchildren: Abbey Mangrum, Carter Mangrum, and Emily Mangrum, all of Charlotte; and his lifelong best friend: Ronnie “RP” Porter.
