A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Allison officiating. Visitation with the family will take place on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Middle TN State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville.

Samuel William “Sam” Zivkov, age 76, of White Bluff, passed from this life on Saturday, July 8, 2023, in his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 23, 1947, in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Sam and Mary Schillinger Zivkov. For those desiring, memorial contributions are suggested to the Pegram Church of Christ or the Claylick Fire Dept.

Sam served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He then went on to serve as a firefighter and Advanced EMT for 29 years on the Mansfield Fire Department in Mansfield, Ohio, where he also taught courses in Advanced EMT. Sam loved to fish and cook, but nothing brought more joy to him than being a “Papaw” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was also a member of the Pegram Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Kevin Harsh.

Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years: Betty Zivkov of White Bluff; his son: Blain Zivkov of White Bluff; his daughters: Jackie Harsh of Nashville and Madison Zivkov (Luke) of White Bluff; his daughter-in-law: Tammy Harsh of White Bluff; his grandchildren: Jessica Cavanaugh (Daniel) of Dickson and Drew Harsh (Sydney) of White Bluff; and his great-grandchildren: Rylee Cavanaugh and Waylon Cavanaugh; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and 2 dogs.
