Graveside services for Warner Ray Potts, Sr., age 79 of the Coopertown community of Springfield, will be held Sunday, May 5, 2024, from the Taylor Town Cemetery in White Bluff. The family will receive friends at Taylor Funeral Home on Sunday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Following the visitation, we will be leaving in procession to the cemetery. Mr. Potts died April 30, 2024, at Skyline Medical Center. For those desiring, memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
Born in White Bluff, Warner was the son of the late Henry Leo and Willadean Hall Potts (Swaw). He served as a branch manager of a printing and publishing company. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Some of Warner’s interests included fishing and hunting. He also loved golf. Warner loved cooking and trying new dishes; especially the preparation and consumption of wild game. He enjoyed barbequing and entertaining family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ruth Cline Potts, Springfield; his son Ray Potts of Springfield; a brother, Bernice Potts (Rosie), of White Bluff; a sister, Gloria D. Bellar, of Dickson; three granddaughters, Savannah, Alexis, and Olivia; and eight great grandchildren. He was also preceded by a brother, Arthur Potts.
