Betty Jean Dodson, age 96 of Bon Aqua, TN died at her home on Friday, June 14, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Keele and Bro. Roger Shepard officiating. Interment will follow in the Ragan addition of the Union Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
Betty was born November 3, 1927 in Vanleer, TN. She was a daughter of the late Charly “Charles” Hadden Burton and the late Novie Johnson Burton. Betty had worked as a laboratory technician and retired from the St. Thomas Hospital, with 40 years of service. She worked for about six years as a substitute teacher at the East Hickman Elementary School. She loved flowers and her church. Betty was a member of the New Spring Creek Church of Christ.
Mrs. Dodson was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Everett Lee Dodson; and their son, David Lee Dodson.
Mrs. Betty Dodson is survived by Everette’s nephew, Robert Davis of North Carolina; and her adopted family, Danny and Alice Cochran of Lyles, TN.
