A celebration of life service will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bon Aqua Methodist Church. Visitation with the family will be from 12 noon until the time of service, also at the church. Burial will follow in the Bon Aqua Methodist Cemetery.

Eddie Lee Cathey, age 80 of Bon Aqua, passed away on September 1, 2024. He was born on July 31, 1944, in Hickman County, TN. He was a longtime member of the Bon Aqua Methodist Church. He retired as a maintenance mechanic at Quebecor.
Eddie loved the outdoors and watching wildlife and especially enjoyed bird hunting. He was a people person who was known and loved by many. But his favorite title was that of “Papa” which was given to him by his family and grandchildren, whom he loved very much.
Mr. Cathey was preceded in death by his parents: Malcolm and Lillian Booker Luther; his wife: Carlene Cathey; his brother: J.D. Cathey; and a niece: Kathy Mifsud.
Survivors include his daughters: Melissa Moss (John) of Clarksville and Beverly Stacey (Dave) of Brentwood; his son: Derek Cassell (Kathy) of Illinois; his sister: Marie Dudley (Rick) of Bon Aqua; his sister-in-law: Barbara; his grandchildren: Anna Moss, Jacob Moss, Hugh Stacey, Ella Stacey, C.C. Cassell and Carson Cassell; his father-in-law: Carlton Luther; his brother-in-law: Danny Luther.
