Sigmund “Ziggy” Winiavski, III, age 56, of Dickson, died Wednesday, October 6, 2024. A quiet man who valued his privacy, Ziggy had requested cremation with no visitation or public memorial service.
Born in Jackson, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Dorothea Walsh and Sigmund Winiavski. A truck driver by vocation, Ziggy drove for FedEx Freight. An avid sports enthusiast, he was a die-hard fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. He was also a lover of the “rock” genre of music of the ’70’s and ’80’s. Ziggy also enjoyed watching suspenseful thrillers and scary movies. He also loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all those close to him.
He is survived by his wife, Tracy Keyes Winiavski of Dickson; two daughters, Nicole (and Will) Bassmore, of Maple Shade, New Jersey, and Zoe Nicole Winiavski of Dickson; two sisters, Diane Winiavski of Florida, and Shelley Allen of Dickson; two granddaughters, Adalyn and Jaelyn.
