Funeral services will be Monday December 30, 2024 at 12 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Baggett officiating. Visitation with the family will be Sunday December 29th from 1 to 4 PM and on Monday from 10 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers Cecelia was a proud supporter of St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Please donate in honor of her.
Cecelia Brazzell Thompson, age 84 of Burns, TN passed away Friday December 20, 2024. Born in Dickson County, she was the daughter of the late Carley Brazzell and Mattie Lee Bain Moize. She had worked as a cook at Stuart Burns Elementary and at Horizon Medical Center in Housekeeping. Cecelia was a member of the Walnut St. Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, Stanley William Thompson (Jenny) of Burns, TN; daughter, Melissa Lampley (Kerry) of Dickson, TN; sisters, Betty Cooper (Larry) of Livingston, SC, and Sue Morris; brother, Jimmy Ray Moize; grandchildren, Thomas Brandon Murrell, Kendall Shea Lampley (Amber), Scott Starkey, Jeff Starkey; great grandchildren, Milleigh Lampley, Bilee Ferrell, Sadie Fisher, Christy Starkey, Jessi Starkey, Austin Starkey and Lillie Starkey; long time friends, Letha Davis, Mamie Gant and Brenda Hall.
