Bennie Joe Davidson, a dedicated family man passed away due to cancer on January 11, 2025 at 4:00 AM at home with family by his side. He was known for his strong work ethic, love of the outdoors, and unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Bennie was an avid hunter and fisherman, spending countless hours enjoying the outdoors, tracking game in the woods, and taking his family fishing. Bennie had a natural talent for mechanics and keeping his yard and garden immaculate. He took great pride in taking care of his home and keeping his vehicles running smoothly. His garage was a haven for tinkering and problem solving. He could often be found under the hood of a car or sharing his knowledge with friends, family, or with anyone who would ask. Bennie worked hard his whole life. He started working in construction at a very young age, and he was employed at Tennsco for over 35 years. He was a generous person, and he was passionate about donating to the Vanderbilt Cancer Center. Above all, he cherished his family, and he was a dedicated husband and father.

Bennie was known for his generosity whether it was offering a ride, fixing broken appliances or even cutting down trees that were down on the road, or helping someone with car trouble. He always went above and beyond to make a positive impact on the lives around him.

Mr. Davidson is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Gladys Davidson; his brothers, Delmer, Charles, and Hooper Davidson.

Bennie is survived by his wife, Evelyn Davidson; his daughter, Brandi Davidson; his sisters, Renia Pack, Leda Resch, and Pam Davidson; his brother, Herlen Davidson (Evelyn); and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the Taylor Funeral Home Bro. Stuart Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Tidwell Cemetery on Eli Road. The visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Vanderbilt Cancer Center in memory of Bennie.
