Graveside services will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or Alzheimer’s Disease Research.
Albert Dale Throop, 84, of Dickson, TN, passed away on February 13, 2025. Albert was born on January 8, 1941, to Jesse and Mary Throop in Ava, Illinois.
In 1959, Albert married Marlyn, and they spent the next 65 years happily married and went on to have three children, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren who he shared his love of fishing and hunting with and ensured they could all get up on water skis.
After serving in the army, Albert had fulfilling careers in Ford Motor Company and Phillips Medical Systems before retiring to Dickson, TN to be close to family.
Albert was predeceased by his parents, his siblings, Lawanda Cross, John Throop, Bill Throop, Raymond Throop. He is survived by his wife, Marlyn Throop, his brother, Lester Throop (Lois), his children, Brian Throop (Kelly), Curtis Throop (Mary), Tamara Hammer, his grandchildren, Terry Throop (Dana), Timothy Throop (Chrissy), Matthew Hammer (Molly), Savannah Lance (Alex), Abigail Hammer, and his great-grandchildren, Rileigh Hammer, Kaden Throop, Charlotte Cole, Caroline Hammer, Claire Hammer.
