Melinda Faye Powell Wright, age 64, of Burns, TN passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, at Tri-Star Horizon Medical Center. She was born on March 15, 1960, in Dickson, Tennessee. Melinda was the daughter of the late Walter E. Powell and Illa Mae Hassell Beard. She was a graduate of Hickman County High School Class of 1978. She spent most of her career as a real estate agent with Parker Peery Properties for some 25 years.
Melinda was a loving and supportive wife to Ronald Wright for 46 years. She was the best, loving mom to Rhonda, but her greatest title of all was Nana to her grandson Mason. Melinda was a caring and devoted friend to many. She always put her family and friends first. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at the beach. She also enjoyed her flower gardens and taking pictures.
Melinda is survived by her husband Ronald Wright, her daughter Rhonda Booker and her husband Jerry, her grandson Mason Booker, her brothers, Wayne Powell and his wife Nita K. and Douglas England and several nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Family and friends will gather Tuesday March 18, 2025 at 6 PM at the Chapel of Prayer Mausoleum at Dickson County Memorial Gardens for a brief Cryptside service.
