Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Bro. Dennie Boren, Mark Atchison & Derrick Lynch will officiate. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.

James Carlton Potts, age 83, of Dickson, TN, passed away on April 3, 2025.
Carlton was born on February 15, 1942, in Hickman County to the late Edward Potts and Alma Hood Potts. He worked many years as an electrician with Central Electric and Pruett Electric. He was a big fan of George Jone’s music, watching television from his recliner, especially during football season. He loved his pet, Molly, but loved his grandkids most of all and they loved him back.
He was preceded in death by his son, Randy Lynch and his sister, Helen Potts.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lynch Potts of Dickson, TN, his daughter, Diane Bishop (Mark) of Dickson, TN, his grandchildren, Tonya Moran (Barry) of Burns, TN, Mark Atchison (Tracy) of Dickson, TN, Allie Goodwin (Seth) of Cumberland Furnace, TN, Derrick Lynch (Kristen) of Vanleer, TN, Chelsea Lynch of Dickson, TN, great-grandchildren, Hannah, Hailey, Ethan, Mia, Hudson, Preston, Leighton, Ivy, Bennett, and loving pet, Molly.
