Funeral services will be conducted in the Parlor of Taylor Funeral Home on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 12 Noon. There will be no visitation prior to services per Aline’s final wishes.

Those desiring, memorials are suggested to DMD in honor of Jonah Marlin and in memory of Emory Marlin, her great nephews.

Aline Estes, a lifelong resident of Burns, TN, age 91, died peacefully January 28, 2026, at NHC of Dickson, TN.

Aline was born November 20, 1934, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN and was the daughter of the late Ernest L. Estes Sr. and Julia Welch Estes. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ernest Estes, Jr., Eugene Estes, her sisters, Maude Estes Marlin, Rosa Mai Estes Mitchell and Lorene Estes McAlister.

Aline attended Burns Elementary School and graduated from Dickson High School, Class of 1952.  A couple of years after her high graduation, Class of 1954, and the year of the founding and opening of the Bank of Dickson, she became one of the first hires. Aline worked with the Bank of Dickson for some 45 years and retired as a vice-president.  Her loyalty was always with the bank and to her personal customers.

Aline knew no strangers; she was a people person and was so active in the Burns and Dickson Communities throughout her life. She could be feisty and was a very independent lady.

Aline was also a longtime faithful member of the Walnut Street Church of Christ and attended until her health failed.

Aline is survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

  1. Sitting here waiting for the snow to melt I found out a beautiful soul had left this earth my beautiful loving favorite person to see and talk to Mrs. Estes. Mrs. Estes I will truly miss your beautiful smile l hope we will meet again in Heaven. Until then
    Rest in Peace.
