Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 2pm from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Genevia Graham will officiate. Visitation will be on Tuesday, beginning at 10am until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Stuart Cemetery.

Altha Jean Hooper McRee, age 77, of White Bluff, TN, passed away on May 21, 2025.
Altha was born in White Bluff, TN on November 30, 1947, to the late Lester Greer Hooper and Effie Mae Sullivan Hooper. Altha had a passion for sewing and was an excellent seamstress. She worked at a high-end children’s shop and Snips & Snails, making girls dresses. She also made wedding dresses, dresses for recitals and pageants, worked for Red Cap for 35 years, Walmart for 10 years and even helped coach softball when Victoria was growing up.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Douglas McRee Sr., her sons, Nelson McRee, Casey McRee, her brothers, Curtis Hooper, Dallas Hooper, her sisters, Mary Adcock and Cecil Hooper.
She is survived by her daughter, Victoria McRee of White Bluff, TN, her grandchildren, Bronson McRee, Catherine Wenck, her sister, Libby Hooper, daughter-in-law, Debbie McRee, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
