Barbara Louise McCullough passed away peacefully on the morning of December the 21, 2025, at the age of 81. A Celebration of Barbara’s Life will be held on Saturday, December the 27, 2025 at 10:30AM at the Porter Community Center, 1600 Abiff Road, Bon Aqua, TN 37025. FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS MAY BE DELIVERD TO THE COMMUNITY CENTER ON THE 27TH.
Barbara was born on September 1, 1944, in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee. She lived a life marked by love, faith, and devotion to her family. Barbara was known for her kind heart, gentle wisdom, and unwavering support for those she loved. She found joy in caring for her family and her home was a place of welcome. She loved the Lord and she was loved by everyone everywhere she went. She was a woman of faith strength and Grace.
Barbara was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, daughter and friend. She had a heart of gold and a spirit of love. She enjoyed reading and studying her Bible and listening to music. She worked in tourism in and around Nashville and was a top agent at Combined and Gulf Life insurance. She worked in three different positions for the State of Tennessee, and she worked as hard as she loved people.
Barbara was proceeded by her mother Mable Louise Johnson; father, William H. Pomeroy; her aunt and uncle, Thelma and Robert Gregory who helped raise her all her life; her sisters, Francis Gibbons and Carol Davis; brother, Ronald Ray Wingo.
Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Tammy Gillihan (John Tyner) and Cindy Miller (Troy Miller); brothers, Paul Kenneth Hutcherson, and Earl Pomeroy; her grandchildren, Amanda McCullough (Allen Brown), Matthew McCullough, Christopher Gillihan, and Jason Gillihan, Timothy Walker (Ashley Walker), Jonathan Walker (Laurie Walker), and Cheyenne Miller. Barbara was also survived by her great grandchildren, Ezekiel Scott, Destiny Gillihan, Jaylyn Gillihan, McKenna Gillihan, Kayleigh Gillihan, Keona Gillihan, Seth McCullough, Bentley McCullough, Samuel Walker, Elijah Walker, Nathan Schutte, and Abigail Walker; and one great great grandson, Dallas Woodcock.
Barbara will be deeply missed but her love will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
