Betty Ruth Street Thompson, age 89 of Dickson, passed away on December 18, 2025, at NHC of Dickson.
She was born on March 21, 1936, in Dickson, TN, to the late Bonnie Ambroze Street and Josephine Horn Street. She was married to her husband William Paul Thompson for many years before he deceased in 2022.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her siblings: Joseph Street, John Street, Maxine Coday and Miriam Ray.
Survivors include her sons: John Thompson (Analyn) and Paul Thompson (Alice), both of Dickson, William Thompson of Jacksonville, FL, and Charley Thompson (Tammy) of Thornton, CO. Also surviving are her seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mrs. Thompson’s wishes were for cremation. Her family and friends will gather on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Dickson Co. Memorial Gardens Chapel of Prayer Mausoleum for a brief committal service with Pastor Wes Sesler officiating.
