Funeral services will be Wednesday December 3, 2025, at 12 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Place of rest will be in the Middle TN Veterans Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday December 2nd from 5 to 8 PM.
Carol Ann Harmon, age 77 of White Bluff, TN, passed away Friday November 21, 2025. Born in Marshall County, Indiana on February 8, 1948, Carol was the daughter of Glendora Marie (Eaton) and Noble Max Cochern. She attended Plymouth High School & Ball State University in Muncie, IN. She married her high school sweetheart, Gregory Wayne Harmon on June 1, 1968, in Plymouth, IN. Carol was very involved in her children’s lives as a substitute teacher at their schools & Girl Scout Leader for many years, numerous earned badges, camping, campfires, horseback riding, outdoor cooking & Girl Scout cookie sales & countless school band practices, marches & concerts. She never missed a single one.
Carol was a talented artist & seamstress. She made her own wedding dress & veil and every bridesmaid’s dresses, including her signature daisy trim on them. She made all her girl’s clothes, every Easter & Christmas dress. She would stay up late and make each daughter a two-piece outfit to wear to school the next day. She worked like a fairy throughout the night. Imagine their surprise in the morning, it was like Christmas Day. Carol also organized & officiated White Bluff Christmas Parades for many years.
After retirement, Carol taught a group of friends how to crochet. Afterwards, they would break for lunch & go back to class in the afternoon. She loved having this time with a close, special group of friends. She worked at the Town of White Bluff City Hall as Chief Court Clerk for 30+ years. She was a member of White Bluff Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Gregory W. Harmon of White Bluff, TN; her daughters Jennifer Marie Harmon (Paul Terry Pruitt, Sr) of Kingston Springs, TN and Melissa Ann (Gary) Singleton of Dickson, TN; 2 grandchildren Alexander Noble (Jackie) Anderson and Harley Bree Aulidge. A great grandchild Rhett Alexander Anderson is expected to be born in March 2026. Surviving sister & brothers: Peggy Holland, Tom Cochern, Jerry Cochern, and James Cochern all of Plymouth, IN.
Carol is preceded by death of her parents, Noble and Glendora Eaton Cochern and sister Glenda Bockman.
