Funeral services for Carolyn Dale Alberd Hooper, age 71 of Dickson, TN, will begin at 12 noon on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Her son, Cade Hooper will be officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Monday, January 27 th from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Carolyn died January 23, 2025, at Horizon Medical Center.
Carolyn was born March 23, 1953, to the late Raymond and Ruth Elizabeth Walton Alberd. She was a 1972 graduate of Dickson High School, and she dedicated much of her life to her role as a School Nutritionist Assistant at Oakmont Elementary School. She loved to read and to share creative arts that she crocheted or embroidered. She also loved her family (especially her cherished granddaughters!) and enjoyed sharing with them home-baked goods and home-canned vegetables. Carolyn also loved feeding and watching the hummingbirds.
Besides her parents, she was preceded by her sisters, Nancy Smalley and Dottie Bennett; and her brothers, Robert, Charles, and Jerry Alberd.
Survivors include her devoted husband of fifty years, Roger Dale Hooper, Dickson; her loving children, Christopher Dale Hooper of Dickson and Cade D. Hooper (Angelina) of White Bluff; and Caitlin E. Hooper and her husband, Cory Cowan of Charlotte; her sister, Patsy Parker (Dewey) of Dickson; and her brother-in-law, Bob Bennett of Dickson; her two granddaughters, Norah Hooper and Sloane Hooper; and by many beloved nieces and nephews.
Carolyn will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her gentle spirit, and her enduring legacy of care and compassion.
