Casey Delano McRee, age 50 of White Bluff, departed this life Monday, July 8, 2024, at Centennial Medical Center. The family will receive friends at Taylor Funeral Home on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 4 until 8 p.m. For those desiring, memorials may be made to DMD (Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy).
Born in Dickson, Casey was the son of Altha Hooper McRee and the late Nelson Douglas McRee, Sr. He graduated from Dickson County High School, Class of 1992. Casey was a communicant of the Catholic Church. Like several members of his family, he was a carpenter in residential construction. He loved all sports; especially U. T. and Titans football. Casey himself participated in several different sports including tennis, golf, and bowling, and enjoyed participating in charitable golf events, such as for DMD. He was generous with anything he had and would offer the “shirt off his back” to anyone who needed it. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his mother, Altha Hooper McRee, White Bluff; his sisters, Victoria McRee of Dickson, and Deborah McRee of California; his sister-in-law, Debbie McRee of White Bluff; nephew, Bronson McRee; niece, Catherine Wenck; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded by his father, Nelson Douglas McRee, Sr.; his brother, Nelson McRee; grandparents, Lester & Effie Hooper, Christopher McRee and Essie Shelley; by his aunts, Cecil Mae Hooper and Mary Adcock; and by his uncle, Curtis Hooper.
