The “Patriarch” of his family, Charles stood in high esteem of his family as well as his circle of friends.  He was an avid reader of history and historical events, especially those dealing with World War II.  Throughout his life and career as a truck driver for Yellow Freight, he has been interested in trucks and trucking.  He was very respected and knowledgeable on any subject that he was interested in and, being very family-oriented, entertained his grandchildren and other family members with stories galore!  He was a patriot through and through and loved his country and was proud of his military service and longed to see the country regain its respect on an international level and a revitalization of its moral fiber.

Survivors include his son, Kenny Catt (Stacy) of Linden, TN; his daughter, Kathy Catt Healey of Huron, TN; eight grandchildren, Michael, Michelle, T. J., Scott, Amy, Harley, Desi, and Randy; seven great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Marian Catt, and by a sister, Evelyn Wheatley.
