A visitation with the family of Claytie Marie Cunningham Sensing, age 83 Dickson, is scheduled for Tuesday evening, September 29, 2020 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. She will be cremated and no formal services are planned at this time. She died Thursday, September 24, 2020 at NHC, Dickson. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Born in Charlotte, Marie was the daughter of the late Tom Cunningham and the late Creola Jones Cunningham (Swaw). She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her duties as a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker, Marie had previously worked as a machine operator for the former Henry I. Siegel Mfg. Co. She was also predeceased by her step-father, Vernon Swaw.
Survivors include her husband, William L. Sensing, Dickson; two sons, Dale Sensing (Wanda) and David Sensing (Brenda), all of Dickson; a brother, Billy Swaw and a sister, Betty Swaw, both of Sylvia; four grandchildren, Billy Wayne Sensing (Jennifer), Jessica Lee Whited (Johnny), David Dewayne Sensing (Marilyn), and Timothy Charles Sensing (Lee Ann); and five great-grandchildren.
