Funeral services for Clifford Lakin, age 83 of Dickson will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2020 from the Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 100 Brown Drive, Burns, Tennessee with Bishop Matt Spann officiating. Interment will follow in Dickson County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the Relief Society Room at the Church from 11 a.m. until time of service. Mr. Lakin died Saturday, August 1, 2020 at NHC, Dickson.
Mr. Lakin was born in Macon, Georgia, son of the late Clifford L. and Gladys A. Barnes Lakin. He retired as a hospital equipment maintenance representative for Omada Corp. He enjoyed model trains, loved his family, loved his Church, and lived a life of volunteer service in the Church. He formerly served as a Temple Worker at the Nashville, Tennessee Temple. He was predeceased by his first wife, Maggie; his son, Christopher Lakin, and by his siblings.
Survivors include his wife of more than 25 years, Norma Lakin, Dickson; his sons, Stacy Lakin, California, and Sherman J. Lakin, Dickson; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
