Funeral services for Dale Steven Walton, age 60 of Charlotte, will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 2023 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Jackson Chapel Cemetery. He died Tuesday, October 3rd in Tennova Hospital in Clarksville. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
For those desiring, the family would appreciate donations toward his funeral expenses and will be accepted in the funeral home office.
Born in Dickson, Dale was the son of the late Jesse and Mable Marie Proctor Walton. He was educated in the Dickson County school system. Dale made his living farming and working in a sawmill. He was preceded by two brothers, Billy Joe Walton and Doyle Walton.
Survivors include his son Steven Walton (Leslie) of Vanleer; a daughter, Jessica Warren (Bobby) of Charlotte; two brothers, Jimmy Walton (Karen) and Johnny Walton, all of Charlotte; eight sisters, Norma Weatherspoon (Wendell) and Debra Weatherspoon, of Charlotte; Diane Ashburn (Dwayne) of Clarksville; Linda Walton and Gayle Stacks, both of Martin, TN, Shirley Morris of Mayfield, KY, Wanda Howell (Dean) of Dickson, and Ella May Hagewood (Averitt) of Clarksville; five grandchildren, Bella, Emmalyn, Matthew, Skylar, and Jewellaina.
